Better Days are Ahead!

Exodus 14:21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the
waters were divided.

Two days ago, one of my daughters called me and said,
“Pastor, I had the worst day that I’ve ever had in my profession!
Everything that I attempted either failed or was delayed.”  She told me
that she’d stayed on the phone for forty-five minutes just to be told
that she didn’t have all the necessary information to complete an
important business transaction (Parenthetically, she’d asked the
company’s representative if she’d turned in everything the day
prior and was told she had).  Another agency informed her that a system
she’d put in place to assist others had defaulted.   The bank even told
her that her name wasn’t on an account that she’d been utilizing
for almost twelve years!   She was so frustrated until she literally sat at her desk and cried!

Yesterday she called and testified that she had a wonderful
day—one of the best that she’d had in a long time!   Instead of
being on the phone for forty-five minutes, she received superior customer
service with another company and was able to wrap up the deal in less than ten(minutes).   She re-established systems and structure to be able to assist others in need.   The bank called her back and apologized for their gross mistake regarding her.  A tremendous breakthrough occurred in her life twenty-four hours after one of her worst days.

One of the enemy’s biggest tricks is to cause us to
look permanently at situations that are only temporary.   But I want to
encourage you that you are only one day away from enjoying the best day of your life! Hours after one of their biggest disappointments—hearing that
Pharaoh had retracted his decision to release them from Egyptian
captivity—the children of Israel experienced their greatest deliverance.
God literally divided the waters of the Red Sea, caused them to walk on dry
ground, and then drowned the Egyptians in the Sea.   What a mighty God we
serve!

Always remember that our bad days are merely the barometer
that measures the magnitude of our good days.   There are better days ahead!

Let’s Pray:
“Father, we give You
the praise for all our days—the bad as well as the good.   Help us to be
optimistic about our good days, in Jesus’ Name, amen.”

Daily Prayer:
“Oh, that You would bless me indeed,

and enlarge my territory,

that Your hand would be with me,

and that You would keep me from evil,

that I may not cause pain!”
The Prayer of Jabez, I Chronicles 4:10

Daily Confession:
Father,
I thank You for making me the head and not the tail
Above only and not beneath
The lender and not the borrower
The conqueror and not the conquered

I thank You for giving me all things that pertain unto life
and godliness
And for delivering my life from death and destruction
So that I shall live and not die to declare your works

I thank You that no sickness shall live in my body today
For by Your Stripes I’m healed
I confess that I will not be stressed, oppressed, or
depressed
Because You’re keeping me in perfect peace as my mind
is stayed on Thee

I confess that there shall be no lack in my life today
For my God shall supply all my needs according to His Riches
in Glory by Christ Jesus

Thank You that all things are working together for my good
And that You always cause me to triumph

This is the day that you have made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
In Jesus, Name, amen.
